Award-winning Porchlight Music Theatre has announced the 2023 Scene Changers who will be honored at Porchlight ICONS: Celebrating Ben Vereen, Friday, Sept. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Athenaeum Center, 2936 N. Southport Ave.

Here’s some excerpts from my conversation with Porchlight Music Theatre Executive Director Jeannie Lukow about what audiences can expect from this year’s ICONS event, what’s coming up next season for Porchlight, and her hopes for the company’s future.

Drury Lane Theatre rings in the holiday season with Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn, based on the classic Academy Award-winning film from Universal Pictures. The stage adaptation features music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and a book by Gordon Greenberg and Chad Hodge.

The production will run July 20 - August 5 at the Josephine Louis Theater, 20 Arts Circle Drive, on the Northwestern Evanston campus. The Press Opening is Today, July 21 at 7:30 p.m.
