Circus Comes to Union City; Donovan Ensemble Hosts Benefit for Local Church 7/10

The Donovan Ensemble, theater in residence at St. John's Episcopal Church in Union City, announces that it will be will be holding a circus themed benefit performance and gala on Thursday, July 10th 2010 at 7:30pm at St. John's, 1516 Palisade Avenue, Union City, NJ.

This is a unique opportunity to help community stalwart St. John's Episcpal Church in its hour of need. State and local grant money has been slashed in recent months putting some of St. John's priceless outreach programs in jeopardy. In addition to its no cost after school program, Puerta Abierta, St. John's showcases local artists with their Celebrate Art festival and acts as a home to performance groups including Tap Ole and The Donovan Ensemble.

The community is invited to this stupendous evening of death defying entertainment. There will be performances by Aerialist, Guinevere DiPiazza, Juggler, Josh Edelman, stiltwalker Billy Dee Bedlam, singer Alexander Diaz, clown Deanna Fleysher as well as Union City's own comedy duo Merril and Emmet played by Joe Kolbow and Jonathan Niel. All ages are invited to attend.
