The historic Palace Theatre in downtown Manchester continues its 11th annual production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, a classic story of Scrooge and Tiny Tim told with festive holiday songs and dance performed by a cast of more than fifty actors. A Christmas Carol, part of the 2011-2012 Professional Theatre Citizens Bank Performing Arts Series, opens on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 7:30 pm. The show runs through December 23, 2011 at 7:30 pm. Make A Christmas Carol the highlight of your holiday season and create a lasting tradition of your own! The Palace Theatre offers eight evening and six matinee performances to select from.
Palace Theatre President, Peter Ramsey is excited to bring A Christmas Carol again to the Palace stage with added performances and a new feature to the production this year -- a live orchestra. "Due to the audience response we had last holiday season, this year we have added two additional evening performances. In addition to our jam-packed schedule of fourteen public performances, our actors perform ten dedicated shows during the holiday season exclusively for Greater Manchester school aged children. To see the children enjoying the historic theatre and delighting in the performance is simply magical. We are delighted to carry on this family tradition for our patrons and community members," stated Ramsey.
