Theatre Memphis will light up its newly renovated facility with a red glow - as a Red Alert - on September 1, 2020 in collaboration with a North American awareness campaign #SaveOurStages. Theatre Memphis social media will also go red to promote the cause.

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra has announced that the 2020-21 season start will be postponed until 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Concerts previously scheduled for the remainder of 2020 have been canceled out of concern for the health and safety of patrons, musicians and staff.

The Orpheum Theatre Group announced today that a mini-golf course consisting of nine Broadway-themed putting greens will take over the empty historic stage beginning August 15. The course will be open varying hours weekly Thursdays through Sundays through the fall of 2020. This will be the first public event the Orpheum has hosted since March 14.

In response to the guidelines from the city and county government and the Center for Disease Control, Theatre Memphis has adjusted the upcoming 2020-21 season to be in compliance regarding the COVID 19 pandemic. Two shows scheduled for 2020, The Secret Garden and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, will be moved from the first half of the 2020-21 season to the 2021-22 season.
