Everybody's favorite beagle, Snoopy, has gathered his friends, packed his supper dish and his typewriter and he's bringing his dog house to the Harvell Civic Center in Millington. All ages from toddlers to grown-ups will enjoy presentations pulled directly from the comic strip: Joe Cool, the Easter Beagle, the Psychiatric Booth - - - still only 5 cents, Linus in the Pumpkin Patch, Woodstock falling in love with a worm who runs off with the Early Bird, Charlie Brown trying to deal with his independent beagle, and so much more. 42nd Street taps its way across the boards at Theatre Memphis on the Lohrey Stage June 8- July 1, 2018. Opening night will be a fundraising event, $100 per person (will include a show ticket), cocktail buffet, open bar, live auction and opportunities to participate in 'prize pulls' that will include wine, jewelry and more. The event will begin at 6pm with the performance starting at 8pm. In this staple of American musical theatre, star-struck Peggy Sawyer arrives in New York City from Allenstown, PA, hoping to become a Broadway star herself.  Facing adversity, she learns about show business and discovers which relationships are most important in life.  Between setbacks and growth as both a performer and a young woman, she conquers the city as the cast tap dances into your hearts with iconic musical numbers including 'We're in the Money,' 'Lullaby of Broadway,' 'Shuffle Off to Buffalo,' and the title song, '42nd Street.' Graceland has announced that five time GRAMMY Award winning country superstar and Grand Ole Opry member Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives will bring his eclectic blend of rockabilly, honky-tonk, and traditional country music to The Guest House at GracelandTM Theater on June 9 for an electrifying, one-night only, concert performance at 8 p.m. Opening for Stuart will be the London-based, country-folk-pop quartet The Wandering Hearts whose deft fingerpicking, rousing choruses, dark-hued lyrics, and sweet, close vocal harmonies have drawn comparisons to Fleetwood Mac and accolades from fellow musicians including Stuart. The Orpheum Theatre announced today that the Memphis Symphony Orchestra will perform Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in Concert on October 6-7, 2018 as part of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series. The concert will feature Robert Moody conducting the Memphis Symphony Orchestra in performing live, to picture, every note from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.  Audiences will be able to relive the magic of the entire film in high-definition on a 40-foot screen while hearing the Memphis Symphony Orchestra perform John Williams' unforgettable score live.
