LAND Raises Over $250,000 in First Annual Art Auction and Benefit Party
LAND (Los Angeles Nomadic Division) hosted its First Annual Art Auction & Benefit Party in the beautiful lobby and courtyard of the tailored, Palihouse in West Hollywood.
The evening kicked off with a VIP Cocktail Reception and Auction Preview, with special guest DJ Donovan Leitch providing music to VIP guests while they silently bid on artwork by the likes of Carol Bove, Tom Burr, Sue de Beer, Naomi Fisher, Jonah Freeman, Barnaby Furnas, Hanna Liden, Justin Lowe, Olivier Mosset, Amanda Ross-Ho, Mika Rottenberg, and Raymond Pettibon.
The live auction went into full throttle with guests getting in bidding wars over the incredible artwork that was up for grabs. Eduardo Moises was the lucky winner of the Dennis Hopper, John Baldessari, and Dave Muller pieces, LAND Board Member Thao Nyguyen snapped-up the James Welling work, and an anonymous telephone bidder "landed" the Amanda Ross-Ho.
Guests included: Lisa Anastos, Christine Y. Kim, Shamim M. Momin, Marin Hopper, Stephen Maguire, Esthella Provas, Wendy Stark, Adrian Grenier, Tara Summers, Rain Phoenix, CameRon Silver, Honor Fraser, Henry Hopper, and Jeffery Deitch. Attending artists included: Edgar Arceneaux, Sarah Cain, Brody Condon, Jonah Freeman, Patrick Hoelck, Glenn Kaino, Kori Newkirk, and Jennifer West.
The event continued into the night with the lovely and talented Ana Calderon providing the music for the dance party that ensued, with guestsenjoying the gorgeous evening late into the night.
