Created in the mind behind last year’s winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Play (Crevasse), Mrs Christmas lights up the holidays in Southern California with another dazzling world premiere from Tom Jacobson. Directed by SoCal’s multi-award-winning musical theatre notable, Karole Foreman, this heartwarmingly irreverent, laugh-out-loud musical offers a relatable holiday experience for adults seeking fresh, festive entertainment—just don’t bring the whole family!
The musical story explores the journey of a woman who inherits the holiday traditions of her recently deceased, estranged mother. Known in their small town as Mrs Christmas, her mother left behind a legacy of festive cheer and complex emotions for her daughter. Through an evening of song and over-the-top stories, the daughter navigates the complexities of their relationship, delving into themes of tradition, loss, legacy, and questioning how we begin to heal the complicated relationships with our families.
Mrs Christmas runs at 7pm Fridays, Saturdays; 2pm Saturdays and Sundays (added performance at 7pm on Mondays, December 1, 15) through December 21, 2025, and features Starring Linda Libby and Cody Bianchi.
