Single Tickets for Disney's ALADDIN at Proctors On Sale This Thursday

Disney Theatrical Productions, under the direction of Thomas Schumacher, and Proctors Collaborative announced today that single tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Thursday, June 23 at 10 a.m. The hit Broadway musical will begin performances in Schenectady at Proctors on Tuesday, October 11 for a limited engagement of two weeks through Sunday, October 23. The press opening performance is Saturday, October 15 at 8 p.m.

In Schenectady, Aladdin will play Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m., Thursdays at 8 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., Sunday, October 16 at 3:pm. and Sunday, October 23 at 2 p.m. There will be a 1:30 p.m. matinee on Thursday, October 20. Tickets are available through the Box Office at Proctors, in person or via phone at 518-346-6204 Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. or online at proctors.org. Ticket buyers are reminded that the Box Office at Proctors is the only official retail ticket outlet for all performances at Proctors. Ticket buyers who purchase tickets from a ticket broker or any third party should be aware that Proctors is unable to reprint or replace lost or stolen tickets and is unable to contact patrons with information regarding time changes or other pertinent updates regarding the performance.

The animated film Aladdin was released by Disney in 1992 and was a critical and box office smash, becoming the highest-grossing film of the year.

The film won the Oscar for Best Original Score and introduced the hit song "A Whole New World," which won the second of the film's two Academy Awards as Best Original Song. The Peabo Bryson/Regina Belle recording of the tune soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
