(1/13/2020) - BroadwayHD debuted their slate of digital captures with Broadway & Beyond Theatricals at The APAP Conference at the Midtown Hilton to an extremely receptive and enthusiastic crowd. The BroadwayHD and Broadway & Beyond Theatricals partnership provides an opportunity for participating performing arts venues to attract new audience members in their communities. Theaters can offer these screenings featuring marquis talent at more flexible times and a lower cost to patrons than a live stage show, which could appeal to less traditional theater audiences such as college students and young professionals. The digital captures of these Broadway hits also provide theaters with the opportunity to introduce new audiences to their venues, alongside a variety of other programming and potentially create return customers for future events.

(10/7/2019) - The Stage Managers' Association (SMA) presented its annual Del Hughes Awards for Lifetime Achievement in the Art of Stage Management to three stage managers from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway, Touring, Regional Theatre, and Opera - Rich Costabile, Barbara Donner, and Mary K Klinger. In addition to the three Lifetime Achievement Awards, the SMA recognized Janet Friedman with The Founders Award, a special recognition for her many years of service to the SMA and for embodying the values expressed by the Founders of the SMA. The event was celebrated at Connelly's Times Square on September 23rd, 2019. The SMA thanks Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids for their leading sponsorship of the event.

Vince Rieger, Senior Director of Business Development, Client/Product Services, at Shubert Ticketing, is known for his unwavering dedication to clients which have included hundreds of Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, non-profit theatres, sporting events, museums and attractions. (7/18/2019) - Theatrical press rep extraordinaire Sam Rudy recently announced his retirement from the Broadway scene.
Rudy began his Broadway career as a press assistant for the 1979 play Strider. Since then, his Sam Rudy Media Relations has represented thirteen Broadway shows and many more off-Broadway productions, including Avenue Q and Hamilton.

(10/9/2018) - The Actors Fund held a ribbon-cutting on October 5, 2018 to celebrate the launch of Looking Ahead in New York City, a program which originated in 2003 in Los Angeles and is designed to help young professional performers and their families thrive amid the unique challenges of working in the entertainment industry. The Paul Libin Center serves as the home for the Looking Ahead program in New York City, and is located in Times Square at the main offices of The Actors Fund at 729 Seventh Avenue on the 12th floor.
