Gotham Week Unveils 2026 Dates and Details; Project Market Applications Now Open

Gotham Week 2026, the industry film event from The Gotham Film & Media Institute, will take place Saturday, September 27 through Saturday, October 3 in New York, New York. Applications for the 2026 Gotham Week Project Market are now open here.
Gotham Week 2026 will feature the Project Market, Gotham Week Expo, Gotham Week Honors, expanded screenings, a full day of Filmmaker Magazine programming, and opportunities for The Gotham EDU community to hone their craft and showcase their work.
The Gotham Week Project Market is a meetings-driven forum connecting new fiction and documentary projects in development with key industry executives interested in identifying projects for development, financing, or distribution. Artists who participate often walk away with career-spanning relationships with distributors, financiers, production companies, festival programmers, sales and talent agents, and collaborators.
Applications are now open for the following 2026 Project Market sections: Documentaries, U.S. Features in Development, U.S. Shorts to Features, Global Producers Hub (by invitation only).
Past industry participants have included A24, HBO Doc, IFC Films, Neon, Sony Pictures Classics, MUBI, Sundance Institute, WME, SFFilm, SXSW, Tribeca, Walt Disney Studios, and many more.

The Gotham Week Expo will bring together partners from The Gotham’s Expanding Communities initiative to provide community and thought leadership on topics pertinent to film and media creators, as well as resources for nonprofit media organizations. The Expo 2026 will include a showcase of nonprofit partners, colleges and universities, and film offices, and will launch the inaugural Expanding Communities Pitch. The Expo is open to the public and free to attend.
Gotham Week Honors returns for its third year as the centerpiece of Gotham Week's forty-seventh edition. Taking place Tuesday, September 29 at 26 Bridge in DUMBO, Brooklyn, this invitation-only event honors breakout narrative feature, documentary, and short film creators while bestowing honors upon iconic industry leaders and filmmakers.
