BWW Preview: IKINARI STEAK Opens 9th Location on the Upper East Side

Ikinari Steak just opened its ninth location in Manhattan on Friday, August 3rd at 1007 Lexington Avenue (between 72nd and 73rd Streets). The Japan-based steak restaurant offers guests Ikinari Steak's "super thick" high-quality meats quickly and economically; in celebration of the opening of their ninth location, Ikinari Steak will introduce Cauliflower Rice as a new menu item to cater to health-conscious diners who are trying to cut carbs.

For diners following a low-carb/high-protein diet, steak can be an ideal meal. While many steakhouses charge higher prices and require more of a time commitment, Ikinari Steak offers 40-day wet-aged quality steaks at affordable prices as a super quick and casual dining experience. The steaks are usually served with corn, but broccoli can be substituted free of charge. With the introduction of Cauliflower Rice, Ikinari Steak becomes a keto-friendly restaurant suitable for lunch and dinner. Ikinari Steak's Cauliflower Rice can now be enjoyed as a substitution for rice, which pairs well with Ikinari Steak's signature soy-based J-Sauce. Now with nine locations throughout Manhattan and the addition of Cauliflower Rice at select locations, Ikinari Steak is an even more convenient and satisfying dining destination.

Cauliflower Rice is being offered at the Ikinari Steak Lexington location beginning on August 3rd, and will be available at Chelsea Seventh Avenue, Ikinari Steak Upper West and Ikinari Steak Broadway locations by the end of the month.

Ikinari Steak also recently expanded their sake list, curated by Jessica Joly of Sake Discoveries and Miss Sake USA. Though wine may be the first drink that comes to mind when having steak, sake is the perfect pairing at Ikinari Steak because its umami flavor pairs well with the umami flavor of the J-sauce. The sake list includes a pink, naturally sweet sake Ume-Rosé from Nambu Bijin brewery, and single-serving cups of sake made with unique flower yeasts from Amabuki brewery which guests can take the eco-friendly cups home as a souvenir.

Owned by Chef and restaurateur Kunio Ichinose, Ikinari Steak opened in Tokyo in December 2013, and now has 287 locations throughout Japan (as of August 2018).
