BOURBON ORLEANS HOTEL King Cake Cocktail Recipe

If you can't make it to Bourbon Street this year for Fat Tuesday on March 5th, you can still mix up a festive cocktail and raise a glass to Mardi Gras at home. Try out this authentic NOLA cocktail from historic Bourbon Orleans Hotel, set in the vibrant and lively French Quarter, where you can enjoy live entertainment every night and sip on well-curated cocktails from award winning Bar Director Cheryl Charming.

Mardi Gras King Cake Cocktail is comprised of purple Reyka Vodka layered on top of pineapple juice and green melon liquor, this cocktail is as festive as it gets. King Cake is the official food of Mardi Gras, so don't forget to add a King Cake Baby on top!

Ingredients:

-1.5 oz *purple vodka

-1 oz melon liqueur

-4 oz pineapple juice

Method:

Pour the melon liqueur into a Collins glass then fill with ice. Slowly pour the pineapple juice into the glass then top with the purple vodka. Garnish with a baby.

*Make purple vodka with food coloring. Vodka can be substituted with any other clear spirit such as rum or tequila.
