Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present another installment of the surreal, sci-fi horror extravaganza that is the Laugh Station series. In Laugh Station: Massacre, it's Halloween aboard the Laugh Station and the crew is ready to party. Little do they realize their costume party falls on the tenth anniversary of a mysterious and tragic accident... and that a knife-wielding, homicidal psychopath is stalking the ship! Can the crew stop this madman before they're picked off one by one in the most grisly possibly fashion? ... Probably not! Join us for the blood-soaked fourth installment of the outrageous Laugh Station series. It's equal parts 80's teen slasher movie and raunchy screwball comedy. Bring your ponchos to this one folks! It's gonna be messy and it probably goes without saying but the show is intended for mature audiences only.

Howard County Arts Council Hosts Annual Open House & Holiday Sale Set for 12/7

The Howard County Arts Council hosts its annual Open House & Holiday Sale on Friday, December 7, 2012, from 5:30-8:30pm. Local artists will offer unique and affordable art and handcrafted items for sale including jewelry, wearables, accessories, paintings, photography, prints, wooden vessels and furniture, metalwork, and greeting cards. Refreshments will be provided. The studios of HCAC resident artists and art organizations will also be open to the public for the evening.

Strand Theater Company welcomes Baltimore playwright, performer and theater professor Susan McCully with her three-woman show Inexcusable Fantasies, exploring, often comically, her secret and not-so-secret obsessions with Martha Stewart, Harley Davidson, and Grandma's Oil of Olay. The production is a Baltimore premiere and the second offering of the Strand 2012-13 Season, under the leadership of Artistic Director Rain Pryor. It runs tonight, November 1-17.

The Howard County Arts Council (HCAC) has announced it will accept a second round of applications for the FY2013 Organizational Development Grant Program. The Organizational Development Grant funds efforts to stabilize and support the organizational development and professional business management skills of arts organizations in Howard County. Arts organizations can obtain an application online at www.hocoarts.org. The deadline for submission of applications is November 20, 2012.

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) SuperPops welcomes The Canadian Tenors, led by conductor Michael Rossi, to the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall on Thanksgiving weekend, with performances on Friday, November 23 and Saturday, November 24 at 8 p.m., and on Sunday, November 25 at 3 p.m. The Tenors, who have sung with such superstars as Sting, Sheryl Crow, Sarah McLachlan, Neil Young and Sir Paul McCartney, will bring their blend of pop and classic songs to Baltimore audiences.

Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and Music Director Marin Alsop have been acclaimed for their performances and recordings of Czech master Antonin Dvo?ak. On November 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and November 17 at 8 p.m. at the Music Center at Strathmore, the BSO will perform Dvo?ak's lyrical Eighth Symphony and Brahms' poetic Piano Concerto No. 2, performed by pianist Denis Kozhukhin in his BSO debut.
