The creator of wedding shows who first introduced brides to industry professionals more than 20 years ago, is bringing the Bridal Extravaganza of Atlanta to downtown Atlanta's new 200 Peachtree special event venue, in the historic former Macy's department store space across from the Ritz Carlton on Peachtree Street.
"The Bridal Extravaganza of Atlanta may be a relatively new name, but it has evolved from my years as as Atlanta's original Perfect Wedding Guide Publisher and Bridal Show Innovator," said show creator Donna Jakulski. "My passion is to provide young couples dependable, quality professional resources, the hottest trends and most creative ideas."
The next show, scheduled for Sunday, January 30, 2011 is sponsored by The Knot, as well as The Wedding Channel, Brides.com, AtlantaBridal.com, Atlanta Bride & Groom Planner, Atlanta Occasions Magazine and The Atlantan Brides Magazine.
As another first, the show is also sponsored by the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE), Atlanta Chapter, and offers attendees the first-ever chance to see the level of creativity that Atlanta's best wedding professionals can bring to the table when challenged. The Bridal Extravaganza of Atlanta will feature Atlanta's top catering and special event professionals in a design trends table décor competition.
"This is an incredible opportunity to see what the city's most talented professionals offer in terms of creativity, ingenuity and talent," said Walter Nemeth, Director of Catering & Events at The Georgian Terrace Hotel, who is also the President of the NACE chapter locally. "This is the first time the public will have the chance to see what those of us inside the industry get to see every year at our annual Design Trends event."
"I know it can be so overwhelming to plan a wedding. That's why I am so determined to continuously evolve my bridal shows to help young couples find the perfect venue, and Atlanta's best wedding professionals," said Jakulski, the mother of two daughters and weddings to plan. "That's why I am so happy to be able to share what I have learned from my own planning experience, as well as from Atlanta's Best Wedding Professionals and the tens of thousands of Brides I have connected with over the years. It's so important to make the right personal choice for photography, flowers, cakes, event design, transportation, gowns, formal fashions, décor and everything that goes into making the day perfect and memorable."
Jakulski produced her first bridal extravaganza more than 22 years ago in Jacksonville, Florida, before bringing the concept of the wedding show to Atlanta over a decade ago. Her return to prominence began in 2010 with a series of shows and now with the first of two major wedding planning expos in 2011, and a schedule of more intimate Bridal conferences to provide more intimate opportunities for young couples to meet and get to know the best vendors and resources for planning their special days.
