Vanessa Williams and Laila Robins Set for Reading of SWEETENED WATER

The Directors Company (Michael Parva, Artistic Director; Leah Michalos, Producing Director) is pleased to announce the industry reading of, SWEETENED WATER by Edward L. Beck, directed by Kim Weild. The cast is Craig Bierko (The Music Man, Guys and Dolls), Laila Robins (Heartbreak House, Homeland), Vanessa Williams (Sondheim on Sondheim, The Trip to Bountiful, Ugly Betty), and Sean Cullen (Golden Boy, South Pacific).

A priest, a grieving widow and a woman who may hold the key to all of their futures share a Martha's Vineyard house during a week of confrontations and revelations. Sweetened Water immerses us in themes of grief, longing, intimacy and sexuality -- and the choices we all must make to live more authentic lives.
