WHAT: "The Incredible Bionic Man" fresh off his stay at the National Air and Space Museum will head to the National Museum of Natural History's new Q?rius Theater for one day to crown the winner of Smithsonian Channel partnered with Comcast and Cablevision's Power to Learn on The Incredible Bionic Man Challenge, which tasked high school students along the Eastern Seaboard to create an artificial body part from normal household items. Four finalists will be in attendance and the grand-prize winner will walk with $5,000.
Smithsonian Channel is the exclusive U.S. television home to chronicle the behind-the-scenes story of the world's first real Bionic Man - a 6-foot-tall robot built entirely from bionic body parts and implantable synthetic organs - complete with a functioning circulatory system. THE INCREDIBLE BIONIC MAN shows how far we've come in efforts to simulate the human body.
