Student Blog: The Magic of Having an Agenda
Writing will never be old fashioned, sometimes I use the notes on my phone but there are occasions it's not the best option
As students, sometimes we feel like we have lots of things to do and writing them on our phones it's not always the best option. So this time I'll share with you why I still love agendas.
Since elementary school, I had one notebook specially to write homeworks, deadlines for projects, dates for exams, etc. Even, we had our schedule there, the rules and a calendar; I thought that was a little bit too much or that I wouldn't need it when I grew up, also with how technology took place in our school life, but I was so wrong.
Now I'm thankful because maybe that's why I've been so organized since then. This semester was the only one that I haven't really used my agenda because I tried to be digital and worked with tools that I had in my computer and even some apps that I ended up deleting.
I'm not against technology, I just have realized that if I write down in paper something I really need to remember it works better for me not to forget it and also not to be anxious opening and closing my apps 100 times a day. So here I am, pointing out the benefits of having a real agenda these days, from my experience.
1.- It's easier to use: Writing will never be old fashioned, sometimes I use the notes on my phone but there are occasions when I don't have too much battery or it wasn't downloaded and I don't have signal or wi-fi and that can be a problem if I need something really important.
2.- You can add notes: I love using post-it notes to add new deadlines or stuff that I need to remember, like reunions, rehearsals or presentations. Also you can put it in other places like your wall calendar, your mirror or any other places so you don't miss it on your gallery or your 50 other reminders.
3.- It's timeless: Nowadays I love how IPads can be notebooks because they're also practical but again what if something happens, having something written on paper will always work. Unless you forget it or lose it, but an agenda it's like another accessory of your daily life so it'll be fine.
4.- You can personalize it: There are so many different designs, colors, shapes and sizes of agendas. You can even create your own with some DIY and when you make it part of your essentials it's so much easier to use it. Even if you're not into them, find the one that is made for you and you'll love it.
Also, if we're talking about calendars, I love wall calendars. Right now I have a Frozen II inspired one and it has spaces to write on it so every day I have like a "To do list" of the most important things I need to get done and even those that I could easily forgot on a hectic day like birthdays, anniversaries, premieres or meetings. Anyways, hope you find these tips useful and try this "vintage" way to organize your daily routine ¡Good Luck!

I’ve been more into theater these past years, but it was until this one that I've really experienced it and discovered why it’s one of my happy places. That’s why I put into words what I wanted to say.

Having a new perspective of a ceremony like this was something I’ll never forget, working with great people and being part of a team “behind the scenes” made me realize why I love theater so much.

For the last few years, I’ve been learning a lot about theater in general and falling in love with plays and musicals that I didn’t know existed. And it was until this summer, that I decided to join the production company at my campus; otherwise I would regret wasting that time on my last year.
