Plot:  A lonely waitress and a mysterious drifter form an intense romance. What begins as a simple connection between two broken people in a seedy Oklahoma motel room twists into something far more dangerous. When reality slips out of grasp, paranoia, delusion, and conspiracy take over in this sexy psychological thriller. 

Why to See It: From Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts and Tony Award-winning director David Cromer, this production of Bug comes to Broadway following its 2021 run at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre, starring three-time Emmy Award nominee and Tony Award nominee Carrie Coon.

Plot: It’s 1943, and the Allied Forces are on the ropes. Luckily, they’ve got a trick up their sleeve. Well, not up their sleeve, per se, but rather inside the pocket of a stolen corpse. Equal parts farce, thriller, and Ian Fleming-style spy caper (with an assist from Mr. Fleming himself), Operation Mincemeat tells the wildly improbable and hilarious true story of the covert operation that turned the tide of WWII.

Why to See It: Operation Mincemeat began as a tiny (and tiny-budgeted) production at London’s New Diorama Theatre. The show quickly gained a devoted following, spurring sold-out runs at venues including Southwark Playhouse and Riverside Studios. It finally premiered in the West End on May 9, 2023 at the Fortune Theatre, where it received rave reviews, continues to play to standing-room-only crowds, and has cultivated one of London’s most fervent fanbase, affectionately dubbed “Mincefluencers."

Why to See It: The play made its world premiere at the Phoenix Theatre in London's West End, where it is currently breaking box office records and is now on sale through February 16, 2025. Based on an original story by the Duffer Brothers, Jack Thorne and Kate Trefry, it is rooted in the mythology and world of the Netflix global phenomenon series.
