Long Island City High School is represented in the Fidelity FutureStage program by the selected play, What's His Name? In this video the play's student author, cast and crew discuss the excitement and challenges of bringing the play to audiences.

Long Island City High School student playwright Claudia puts her feelings about high school coming to an end into her play, What's His Name? The play's actors, Kristi, Oscar, Chris, Angela and Samuel all could relate to the subject of moving on in your life after high school. The play also highlights the assistant directing work of Gianella, stage management by Ashley and the able support of understudies, Lawrence, Danielle, Katie, Ashley, Anthony and Dennis.

Fidelity FutureStage enables over 600 NYC students from 10 different public schools to get a real view into the world of Broadway theater. Students learn firsthand from industry professionals about acting, playwriting, directing and all the behind-the-scenes production. They also attend Broadway shows and each student writes a 10-minute play. Ultimately, one play from each school is chosen and performed by the students at New World Stages this June.
