The "Puglia's Italy Award of Excellence in America" will take place annualy in order to bring recognition to outstanding personalities, born or/and raised in the southern region of Italy, Puglia, who achieved remarkable international success, thus promoting the image of Puglia in the world.
The three award-winners of this year will be:- Mr. Attilio Romita, TV Journalist of TG1 Rai News, Italian Public Service Broadcaster
(award will be handed by Journalist Giampaolo Pioli, President of the United Nations Correspondent Association and Us Special Correspondent of Il Quotidiano Nazionale, La Nazione, Il Resto Del Carlino, Il Giorno)- Mr. Carlo Brienza, Deputy Director of Rai International Broadcast
(award will be handed by the Mr. Ramu Damodaran, Deputy Director for Partnerships and Public Engagement, Outreach Division of United Nations of Public Information and Chief of United Nations Academic)
- Mr. Joseph Tusiani, Italian Poet and Latinist
(award will be handed by Prof. Anthony Tamburri, Dean of the John Calandra Institute of New York)
