Lincoln Square’s Fashion Plate Prix Fixe Open To The Public 2/10-17

Dozens of restaurants in the Lincoln Square neighborhood have signed on to celebrate the second season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Thursday February 10 - 17, at Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park, by participating in special dining promotions coordinated by the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District.

The first promotion, Lincoln Square's 'Fashion Plate' Prix Fixe, is open to the public and features 20 restaurants offering prix fixe lunches, dinners and/or brunches during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Some of the restaurants participating in the promotion have elected to create playfully-themed menus with a nod to the world of style. Diners at Luce Restaurant & Enoteca (2014 Broadway), for example, will be able to feast on Trendy Soup, a Slim Fit Baby Arugula Salad, Risotto for Models and Runway Chicken Sopreze. The three-course prix fixe dinner at Arpeggio Food & Wine (132 W. 65th Street) includes a 7th Avenue Salad, Eco Chic Roasted Chicken and Diva Delish Gelato among other sumptuous treats. "We're pleased to be able to offer the public and the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week attendees a fun and flavorful way to celebrate this style event happening right in our neighborhood. We have basically pulled together our own local 'restaurant week' here in Lincoln Square. And as you can see from some of the clever prix fixe menus, our neighborhood restaurants have really taken this Fashion Plate concept and run with it," said Monica Blum, President of the BID.

The BID also organized a second promotion specifically for the production crews of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Created to promote Lincoln Square's quick and affordable dining/take out options, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Production 'Crew Cuts' consists of ten eateries-'wichcraft, Alan's Market Place, Breadsoul Café, Lincoln Café, Melissa's Gourmet Deli, Old John's Luncheonette, 63 Bites, The Flame Restaurant, Francesco Pizzeria & Restaurant and the Olympic Flame Diner- each offering Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week production crew staff discounts ranging from 6% - 50%.

Finally, just in time for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, the Lincoln Square BID will unveil its latest publication, Where to Shop in Lincoln Square, a free guide showcasing the wealth of shopping options in Lincoln Square. The publication is modeled after the BID's highly successful restaurant and bar guide, Where to Eat in Lincoln Square.

"Lincoln Square is truly a shopper's paradise...we have a wonderful selection of retailers here in the neighborhood selling everything from designer clothing and accessories to housewares, unique gifts and beyond," said Ms. Blum. "We have received so much positive feedback about Where to Eat in Lincoln Square that we wanted to provide an equally helpful way for the public to learn about our many retail treasures. We're very excited to provide Where to Shop in Lincoln Square to the community and Lincoln Square's millions of annual tourists."
