The production of William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin's The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which opened Off-Broadway to positive reviews, an extension and sold out crowds will move to Broadway's Circle In The Square theater in time for Tony consideration. No dates have been announced yet for the transfer, but it's expected to be immediately following the show's Second Stage closing which is scheduled for March 20th.

In the show, six young people on the edge of puberty strive to become adults in this funny, tender, sardonic musical by the composer of Falsettos. These outsiders use competition to define themselves, apart from their crazy families, while their struggle to escape childhood is overseen by grown-ups who never completely succeeded in escaping it themselves.

The cast from the Second Stage Theatre production includes:
Derrick Baskin, Deborah S. Craig, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Dan Fogler, Lisa Howard, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Jose Llana, Jay Reiss, Sarah Saltzberg. Choreography by Dan Knechtges and Directed by James Lapine.
