It's time once again for a bright light to shine on Broken Arrow as Emmy and Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth returns to town-along with some of her Broadway buddies-for the eighth annual Broadway Bootcamp, coming to the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center July 19 to 29.

Les Michaels, the late Palm Springs resident and cabaret producer and singer who produced and presented Open Mic Cabaret events at various venues in both in Palm Springs and Los Angeles will be honored on what would have been his 72nd birthday as the Palm Springs Cultural Center presents The Les Michaels Memorial Project, A Celebration of Life Free Open Mic, hosted by Gregg Marx, Daytime Emmy Award Winner for 'As The World Turns,' Leslie Tinnaro, star of CVRep's recent hit show, 'Fun Home' and Clifford Bell,acclaimed Cabaret Producer and Director.

St. Louis native Elizabeth Teeter will take The Muny stage this week in The Sound of Music to play Liesl, the eldest of the von Trapp children. Elizabeth has performed in Broadway and Off Broadway Productions, but started her acting career at The Muny. It is no surprise that she found a home on the stage as theater runs in her family. Her father is Broadway veteran Lara Teeter who teaches Dance at Webster University.  Her mother, Kristen, also teaches Dance at Nerinx Hall High School in St. Louis.  BroadwayWorld sat down with Elizabeth to learn about her memories of performing at The Muny, how she approaches this role, and who has influenced her young career in the performing arts.

On Sunday night, the volume was turned up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. That's because the showcase finale of Kristin Chenoweth's Broadway Bootcamp, which this year both LIVE and virtual, concluded with the Kristi Awards.

Tonight, Sunday June 13, the KRISTI Awards will be broadcast live from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. It is the showcase finale that ends the week of Kristin Chenoweth's Broadway Bootcamp, this year both LIVE and virtual.

Chenoweth will host the show live from the stage at the Kristin Chenoweth Theatre, in the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center, and Camp Co- Directors Richard Jay-Alexander and John McDaniel will be on tap with a mighty assist. There are musical numbers, live and pre-taped, and plenty of showcasing and KRISTI Awards to go around among these talented young kids.

Lucky live and virtual campers from across the globe just passed their hump day of the week and are now in preparation for their showcase and annual KRISTI Awards presentation on Sunday night at 8pm EST/7pm CST/5pm PST.

Kristin Chenoweth’s Broadway Bootcamp is in full swing today, after last night’s orientation and Ghosts of TONY kickoff party, hosted by Julie James of SiriusXM On Broadway.

Kristin Chenoweth announced today that her Broadway Bootcamp will happen this year, June 6-13, in a unique virtual edition! The week long annual session will be held for students completing grades 8-12 in the 2020-2021 school year.

An educator, musician, and singer, Birdwell taught musical theater and opera singing for more than six decades, serving as a professor of voice at the Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University until her passing. 

The Fabulous Fox Theatre has announced the addition of December 26-27 holiday tours of the beloved landmark. Inspired by Charles Dickens' “A Christmas Carol,” this delightful tour is titled 'A Dickens of a Tour' and depicts several of that tale's characters including the ghosts of Christmas Past and Present, Jacob Marley, Victorian dancers and more! 

The Fabulous Fox Theatre has announced holiday tours of the beloved landmark to begin following Thanksgiving and continuing through December. This unique hour-long tour includes some of the history of the Fox Theatre while it is beautifully decorated for the holiday season.

The lineup for Monday's world premiere of The Muny 2020 Summer Variety Hour Live! has been announced. The free, live-streamed program will air on Monday, July 20, at 8:15 p.m. CST.

The Muny announced today that it will offer 10 weeks of free online Muny entertainment for the summer of 2020. For 10 consecutive Monday nights, with a single repeat stream on the subsequent Thursday, audiences and fans can experience the magic of their Muny summer online at muny.org with both curated and newly created entertainment.
