The company will also be joined by The Muny kid and teen youth ensembles and 2016 St. Louis Teen Talent Competition finalists.
Scenic design is by Tim Mackabee, with costume design by Robin L. McGee, lighting design byNathan W. Scheuer, sound design by John Shivers and David Patridge, and video design byMatthew Young. Set in ancient Egypt, Elton John and Tim Rice's AIDA is an epic tale of an enslaved Nubian princess, Aida, a jealous Egyptian princess, Amneris, and the soldier they both love, Radames. As the story unfolds, forbidden love blossoms and a choice must be made between leading with a yearning heart or a responsible mind. Filled with love, loyalty, betrayal and murder, this finale to The Muny's 98th season will be "Written in the Stars" with this enchanting production re-envisioned for The Muny stage.
