(5/29/2015) - Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts held a highly successful Spring Fling on May 9, with approximately 7,500 people enjoying free performances, craft projects, and fun and games as the 'opening day' for the expanded family offerings on the Lincoln Center campus. It also launched the enhanced LC Kids program, which includes more membership options, new family programming, and special events designed for kids.

(5/29/2015) - In the tradition of Facing Our Truth: Short Plays on Trayvon, Race and Privilege and HANDS UP: 6 Playwrights, 6 Testaments, The New Black Fest (guest curator playwright Dominique Morisseau) will commission five black women playwrights to write short plays entitled UN-TAMED: HAIR BODY ATTITUDE - Short Plays by Black Women. The playwrights include Cori Thomas, Nikkole Salter, Chisa Hutchinson, Lenelle Moise and Jocelyn Bioh.
National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene to Kick Off First-Ever KulturfestNYC This June
(5/29/2015) - The story of a poor orphan who believes everything he hears (Gimpel The Fool,) the tale of unlikely friendship between civil rights activist Paul Robeson and a Soviet Jewish writers (When Blood Ran Red); and a theatrical re-enactment of the Book of Esther (Haman's Downfall) are among the original and 'revival' plays to be performed at KulturfestNYC, the first-ever international festival of Jewish performing arts in New York. With more than 15 fully staged productions, KulturfestNYC will showcase the very best of Yiddish theatre from around the world, moving audiences to both laughter and tears.
