Tom Stoppard's PARADE'S END Series Gets Picked up by HBO

According to Deadline.com, HBO and BBC have greenlit a new mini-series written by Tom Stoopard entitled 'Parade's End.' The five-part drama will star Benedict Cumberbatch and Rebecca Hall.

As described by Deadline, the show is 'set against the backdrop of World War I, it tells the story of a complex and destructive love triangle among a conservative English aristocrat (Cumberbatch), his beautiful but cruel socialite wife (Hall), and a vibrant young suffragette.'

Stoppard has written for TV, radio, film and stage, finding prominence with plays such as Arcadia, The Coast of Utopia, Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, Professional Foul, The Real Thing, and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. He co-wrote the screenplays for Brazil and Shakespeare in Love and has won one Academy Award and four Tony Awards.
