Shadowbox Live has announced its latest tribute show: Evolutionaries: The Stories and Music of David Bowie and Prince, opening Thursday, January 26th at its Brewery District theater, 503 S. Front Street.

Evolutionaries takes audiences on a rockin' rollercoaster with over 20 songs, spanning several decades.

"In addition to presenting some of rock music's greatest tunes, the show will take a look at the similarities as well as the differences between these two iconic performers and how their music impacted the world," says Director/Producer Julie Klein.

Klein explains, "David Bowie and Prince did more than just contribute to music. They sparked conversations about gender, AIDS, war, poverty, love, sex, space, life, death and fashion."

Shadowbox Live's creative team plans to incorporate video, dance, and spoken word to help punctuate the songs and their messages.

Community Relations Director and Vocal Master Stacie Boord adds, "Both on stage and off Bowie and Prince had major impact. They used their fame to elevate such important topics as HIV research, world hunger and LGBT rights. And we are thrilled to be partnering with Equitas (formerly AIDS Task Force) and Mid Ohio Food Bank to share these artists' amazing work with a wider audience."

Evolutionaries opens Thursday, January 26th at 7:30pm and runs select Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays through May 25th. Tickets are $25 ($20 students / seniors / military). For more information and reservations, visit www.shadowboxlive.org.
