PSC Youth Theatre called 'Acting Out'

The PSC Youth Theatre called "Acting Out" (fully supported by the PSC Community Theatre) will be presenting a series of skits called Life & Miscommunication On, Saturday, January 25th at 3pm. (It includes young actors from both the Junior and Senior programs and is scheduled for about 1 hour). This presentation takes place at the Old Bank at 1900 Wellington St. and the cost is a Donation. Although reservations are not required, please do send us a note to info@psccommunity.com if you plan to attend with the number of seats required - which will help us with the set-up.

This presentation provides our young actors for the opportunity to appear on stage before an audience after months of rehearsals. It also gives them a chance to prepare for the main Youth Theatre plays that will be presented later in the Spring. So, if you have an hour between 3pm and 4pm next Saturday please do come out and support and encourage their efforts. (We do provide free refreshments after the presentation). Also please note that our next Free Youth Theatre acting classes start on February 8th at the Point YMCA. These classes are open to any young actors from The Point, or anywhere in the Montreal area. There is a Junior Class for young people in Grade School; and a senior class for young actors in High School. The Junior Class starts at 12:15pm until 2:00pm and the senior class from 2:15pm until 4:00pm. All courses are taught by a very experienced professional acting coach. The theatre is a completely Not For Profit, volunteer organization supported by a great many Pointers and people from elsewhere in the city. We would also like to take an opportunity to thank just some of the individuals, and organizations, that help us to provide the fun and free activity including, The Tom & Olga Maxwell Foundation; the Point Hall of Recognition; the Erin Sports Club -and the many supporters of our main adult theatre. And, of course, Mr. Pieter Sipjkes, who allows us to use his Old Bank for both the adult and Youth Theatre plays. If it does "take a village to raise a child" then both the Theatre and our sponsors are pleased to be a small part of the village.
