Mercury Summer Stock and Dana Aber present: Five Fingers Open, Two Fingers Crossed, a cabaret event to be performed tonight, Sunday, July 14th at 5:30pm at the Regina Auditorium on the Notre Dame College Campus. The event will feature songs from new, bound-for-Broadway musicals written by up-and-coming composers and lyricists from all over the globe, including Mercury Summer Stock's own Aliyana Stewart who contributed both music and lyrics. This concert production will feature over a dozen of Mercury's favorite singers, all of whom are committed to using their uniquely talented voices to bring new work to the area of Cleveland.

The work being featured in the concert includes songs from 24 award-winning writers whose work has been featured at many notable places including Lincoln Center, Playwrights Horizons, Yale, Goodspeed Opera House, Barrington Stages, the New York Musical Theater Festival, the Midtown International Theater Festival, NYU, Prospect Theater Company, Penn State Musical Theater Festival, Pittsburgh City Theater, Sidney Theatre Company, Diversionary Theater, Indiana University, Two Rivers Theater, and many, many more. Writers include Anna Jacobs, Joel Waggoner, Lori Mannette, Paul Castles, EllaRose Chary, Aliyana Stewart, Willem Oothyusen, Jennifer Stafford, Kiyun Kim, Janine Robledo, Dimitri Landrain, Kate Thomas, Christopher Staskel, Rona Siddiqui, Avi Amon, Julia Gytri, Landon Braverman, Clair Tran, Julian Blackmore, Becca Anderson, Dan Marshall, Brian Cavanagh-Strong, Christie Baugher, and Max Vernon.

Performers include off-Broadway's Dana Aber (Erotic Broadway Vintage Variety Off-Broadway, Actors Theatre Louisville, Gay Bride of Frankenstein NYMF), also serving as the concert's co-producer and Emcee; Sara Masterson (New York Film Academy, Playhouse Square), Julie Myers-Pruchenski (Cleveland Opera, Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival), Kelvette Beacham (Virginia Musical Theatre, Cain Park), Dan DiCello (Cain Park, Fine Arts Association), Sean Grandillo (The Adventures of Tom Sawyer natl tour, Dobama Theatre), Nicholas JP Bernard (Geva Theatre Next Stage, SUNY Fredonia ), Aliyana Stewart (Flatrock Playhouse), Alex Stevenson (Oklahoma Thalian Hall Opera), Jake Sokoloff (Hofstra, Smithtown Performing Arts Center), Dani Apple (Stagedoor Manor, Cain Park), Justin Woody (Cleveland Institute of Art, Near West Theatre), Jackie Komos (Ohio Light Opera), Cindi Verbelun (Cleveland Play House), and also Jackie Cassara (Theatre-by-the-Sea, Sugarloaf Mountain Amphitheatre), mother of New York's Michael Cassara.

Mercury Summer Stock (MSS), founded in 1998 by graduates of Baldwin Wallace, exists to create extraordinary theatrical experiences, and to advance theatre as a means of educating, challenging and inspiring the Greater Cleveland community and its young people through family-friendly programming of rarely-seen and premiere works, innovative staging, and through its educational outreach and My First Musical program. This 15th season celebration features the Tony Award-winning musical Ragtime by renowned duo Ahrens & Flaherty, currently playing through July 20th also at the Regina AuditoriuM.
