You know when I was sitting around with my family having dinner, in between passing dishes and pies, I thought - you know what would make this a better Thanksgiving? Puppets and What Does the Fox Say! I mean, come on - you can't have Thanksgiving without puppets and weird YouTube sensations singing about the sounds a fox makes. So, tonight, we are grateful for Glee and ponder the question - what does the Gleek say?

Mr. Schue is stuck working on things, so Blaine takes over glee club, and the glee clubbers are less than pleased with Blaine's ideas, causing Blaine to exit dramatically. Kurt presents Pamela Lansbury with their first gig at Callbacks, while the rest of the group is not feeling the idea of it, Kurt is not listening. Imagining the perfect scenario, Kurt imagines Pamela Lansbury [with himself at the helm] singing "Into the Groove" to a sold out crowd. Kurt and Blaine talk it up about the glee club rebellion of Blaine, which Kurt attributes to the idea they may find him controlling, which Blaine doesn't understand. Kurt invites Blaine to the first Pamela Lansbury gig, which he accepts while pondering the insane idea of being too controlling. Sue continues to taunt Figgins with her power, while Sue teases the higher ups with promises of success, which pleases the new superintendent, who makes a comment that Sue looks too manly. Sue recounts to Becky how she use to be ultra feminine back when she first started at McKinley, but when no one respected her, she ditched the pink power suits for the infamous red track suit of terror. Becky poses the idea that Sue should change up her look, while Blaine has a heart to heart with Brad, and fantasizes that the rest of the glee club are puppets brought on by Kurt's comment about him being a puppet master. In his fantasy world of puppets, Blaine sings "You're My Best Friend" with help from his new found puppet glee club pals. When Blaine comes out of his odd fantasy, he finds the glee club claiming he's having a pity party because of how they didn't go along with his plans.

Jake tries to help the Cheerios with their moves, while leading on most of the Cheerios, pissing off Bree. Blaine gives Jake props for sticking up for him, and mentions the odd occurrence he had in the back corner. The glee club turns to Jake for their choreography, he's tired of dealing with their lack of rhythm which leads to a fantasy duet and dance off with Marley and Bree on "Nasty/Rhythm Nation". Blaine decides to make a puppet of Kurt in his arts and crafts class, which Sue confiscates when she runs into Blaine in the hallway having a conversation with it. Giving fancy lady footwear a try, Sue attributes her lack of fearful response from people to her new footwear and attempts at being less aggressively masculine.

Sue ditches the lady shoes and turns to Will for help with her crush on the new superintendent, and when Will offers her dance lessons for money for costumes for glee club, she turns him down. Just like Jake and Blaine, Sue finds herself fantasizing of her and Will channeling Ginger Rodgers and Fred Astaire while giving us a little "Dancing Cheek to Cheek". Bree confronts Jake and reveals that she's pregnant and planning to rid herself of it and keep it between them. When Blaine gets caught stealing back the Kurt puppet, Sue gives him detention and prevents him from being able to make his way to New York for Kurt's gig. When Blaine calls Kurt to explain, they argue and Blaine lets slip about the puppet he made, which only makes Kurt angrier as he hangs up. Did I mention during said conversation Blaine envisioned this argument with the puppet? Yep. To add insult to injury, Pamela Lansbury's eager audience is of one gentleman, who believes Angela Lansbury is performing. Sue turns to Unique for a makeover, while Blaine and Jake are stuck in detention with Becky, which leads to another ridiculous puppet fantasy. Jake goes to Bree to take her to the doctor, but is relieved to find that it was a false alarm, which prompts Bree to give Jake some straight up realness and tells him to grow up and step off. Sue debuts her new more feminine look as she scores big points with the higher ups, even fixing the fantasy inducing gas leak in the choir room, despite Figgins trying to use it as a way to sway the higher ups to his side. Sue is rejected by the superintendent on her date proposal; while Blaine is given the control he so wanted for Nationals. Jake turns to Marley to take him back, but Marley isn't having it, and leaves him flat. Kurt calls a meeting of Pamela Lansbury and reveals that the sole audience member scored them a prime gig at the Williamsburg Music Hall. Blaine sends the New York crew puppets to apologize for missing the gig, as well as presenting the New Directions with puppets of their own, and promising to be a better leader. And what does an odd episode that I swear didn't actually air end with? A performance of "What Does the Fox Say?" of course.

So, hope you were able to digest this odd episode along with your turkey day trimmings. But, next week - out with the odd, and in with the holiday cheer! It's the Glee fall finale - Christmas style! Hope you've been nice, Gleeks, because we've been checking our lists twice. Until then, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Be grateful and gleeful!
