The stars of EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL at V Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino were proud to be a part of this past weekend's LVLUP Expo, the area's premier gaming and technology convention.

With plenty fans attending the 2 day event looking for an alternative to Super Bowl weekend, LVLUP Expo was the center of all-things games and games-related.

EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL participated in the convention last year, and as such was one of the first groups asked to come back this year.

Fans were able to interact and get photos with the cast at the EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL booth, a popular destination spot for individuals walking through the Cashman Center, which by the end of the convention had become a meeting spot and landmark that many attendees used to navigate by.

On Friday the cast hosted a panel on EVIL DEAD and zombies in pop culture. It was designed to go over the history of zombies in pop culture, ultimately focusing on EVIL DEAD. The room was a mix of fans who had already seen the stage show, fans of the EVIL DEAD films, and fans of zombies.

"This convention was a lot of fun," said Sirc Michaels, producer of EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL. "Its immense growth over last year shows that this group is committed to bringing gaming and technology to the fans in a tangible way."

Cast members in attendance included Chris Weidman who plays Ash Williams, Lorie Palkow who plays Cheryl Williams, Lynnae Meyers who plays Ash's girlfriend Linda, Kolton Rostron who plays Scotty, Greg Korin who plays Jake, Beau Rigbye who plays Fake Shemp, and Courtney Leone who plays Annie. Sirc Michaels was also on-hand to keep things lively at the celebration.

Evil Dead: The Musical is a unique production that combines multimedia, live performance, audience participation and 4D elements to bring the biggest, baddest, bloodiest show on the Las Vegas Strip to its fans. Endorsed by Bruce Campbell, blessed by Sam Raimi, and embraced by a legion of fans, this is the United States' real-deal official live stage version of the cult classic EVIL DEAD film franchise. Performances can be seen at the V Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino every Friday at 10 p.m. and Saturday at 11:30 p.m.
