Review: TWO STRANGERS (CARRY A CAKE ACROSS NEW YORK), Kiln Theatre
by Cindy Marcolina - November 17, 2023
All in all, Two Strangers is a pleasant night out for the rom-com lovers: it romanticises The City That Never Sleeps and leaves the audience with a delightful ending that solves very little of the plot. It won’t change the world of musical theatre, but it’s nice and fuzzy. Like a good pair of comfy Christmas socks.

A solo show that knows what it’s doing, it’s no wonder Feeling Afraid went down so well at the Edinburgh Fringe. With a machine affixed to her head, the scarcely-clad Tara Boom looks out across the audience before throwing popcorn cartons and - after having the contraption connected up to the mains - a flurry of actual popcorn. Welcome to the crazy world of La Clique.

by Aliya Al-Hassan - November 16, 2023
Ian McKellen’s return to New Wimbledon Theatre in 2024 feels like déjà vu and, that’s because it is.
