Netflix Announces German-Language Original FREUD

Sigmund Freud is the focal point of a new series developed by ORF, Satel, Bavaria Fiction and Netflix. This will be the first collaboration between ORF, which will premiere the series in Austria, and Netflix which will premiere the series everywhere else in the world. On December 20, character actress Farley Cadena suffered an ischemic stroke, which left her unable to speak clearly, sing, or read. But she fought back, with this self-penned show helping in her rehabilitation. Cadena includes a number of familiar as well as obscure Broadway songs - with lyrics occasionally tweaked - to help illustrate her dilemma. The Reverencia Award is the only theatrical prize in Brazil, aimed at musical theater, that includes simultaneously spectacles of the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has announced a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins Oct. 19 at Atwood Concert Hall, presented by Anchorage Concert Association, and plays a limited two-week engagement through Oct. 28. World's Largest Sequencer Celebrates Berlin's Electronic Music Scene

This month, Red Bull Music is paying tribute to Berlin club culture and the machines that have shaped electronic sounds worldwide. Developed for the 20th anniversary edition of the Red Bull Music Academy, the RBMA-20 is the largest sequencer in the world and will be installed in front of Tresor club for public use through October 13. Simultaneously, Red Bull Music is sending electronic music's most iconic machines onto the tracks of Berlin public transport. WICKED Ticket Lottery Announced for at Popejoy Hall

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to Popejoy Hall with performances from October 17 through 28. Two and one-half hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at UNM box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets. (more...)
