Broadway in Hollywood has announced their 2023-24 Season - consisting of seven shows: five Los Angeles premieres, one Pre-Broadway L.A.  premiere, and the return of an American classic. All seven newly announced shows will play the Hollywood  Pantages Theatre. 

The Merchant of Venice 1936, Watford Palace Theatre’s ground-breaking new production of one of Shakespeare’s most enduring classics starring Tracy-Ann Oberman (EastEnders, Doctor Who, Friday Night Dinner), as Shylock, will embark on a UK tour this Autumn, beginning at the RSC’s Swan Theatre from Thursday 21 September. 

Truist Broadway's new season will bring the hottest productions direct from New York and brand-new national tours to the Triangle.  The new season features seven incredible productions, including the show of a lifetime – Disney's THE LION KING and the most electrifying new musical direct from New York, MJ THE MUSICAL.  

Next week, 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond. A new piano concerto, entitled Permutations for Piano and Orchestra, by celebrated American composer Robert Chumbley will be premiered by the University of North Carolina School of the Arts Symphony Orchestra on Saturday evening, March 25, 2023, 7:30 p.m. EST.

American Repertory Theater has launched the Take Five program, which designates blocks of tickets priced at just $5 for A.R.T.’s upcoming productions of The Wife of Willesden, adapted by Zadie Smith from Chaucer’s The Wife of Bath, and its revival of the Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice rock opera Evita.

Broadway Across America does big musicals well. Obviously, the trend of movie-to-musical has touched every genre, but Disney musicals tend to translate well in that medium. Aladdin is no exception. Everything is big, bright, sparkling, and bursting with color. The special effects don’t disappoint. There are lightning-fast costume changes and spectacular sets. The Cave of Wonders is particularly impressive.
