Tony Award winner Adrienne Warren is headed back to Broadway to lead the American premiere of ROOM, written and adapted for the stage by Emma Donoghue, based on her 2010 best-selling novel which she also adapted into the award-winning 2015 film.

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), the anchor cultural institution for the city of Newark and the state of New Jersey, in collaboration with the Newark Public Library, will present PHILIP ROTH UNBOUND, a weekend-long festival that will celebrate, challenge and explore the life, legacy and work of novelist and Newark-native Philip Roth, on what would have been his 90th birthday weekend.

Poet Voice Sucks, a funny poetry series featuring humorous poetry performed by writers, comedians, and actors, returns for its fourth edition at the Broadway Comedy Club on December 18th.

Each song on AMERICAN DREAM touches on a different aspect or experience of Foster’s life, with the title track being an all-encompassing examination of many issues from his childhood to the present. At six and a half minutes long, the song was inspired by Foster’s love for Don McLean’s epic “American Pie.”

The song is expressed throughout a solid rhythmic bed that clicks and clacks in an unrelenting time signature. It features long-term friends and collaborators Jo McCullum (Nadia Reid, The Veils) on drums and percussion, Jo Barus (Dave Dobbyn) on bass, and Tom Healey (Tiny Ruins, Marlon Williams, Nadia Reid) on guitar and production.

The Green Room 42 presents Ruth Sent Us: A Benefit For Reproductive Justice on October 11th at 7:00 PM. Ilana Levine, known for her acclaimed podcast Little Known Facts, will host.
