The First National Tour of Dear Evan Hansen has broken the box office record for the highest-grossing week ever at San Francisco's Curran. For the week ending December 9, 2018, the production grossed $1.64 million despite only playing seven performances. This breaks the eight-performance week record previously set by The Book of Mormon in 2012. Dear Evan Hansen is playing at the Curran now through Sunday, December 30, 2018. Further casting has been announced for the original London company of Sara Bareilles' Tony Award-nominated musical Waitress. Marisha Wallace will play Becky alongside Laura Baldwin as Dawn, with Peter Hannah as Earl and David Hunter as Dr. Pomatter. The four new principals will join the previously announced Katharine McPhee who will make her West End debut starring as Jenna, having played the role on Broadway earlier this year.

Lythgoe Family Panto (LFP), in association with the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, announce final casting for their newest production, the world premiere of THE WONDERFUL WINTER OF OZ at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, (300 East Green Street, Pasadena CA 91101) which will play a strictly limited engagement from December 15 through December 30.

American Repertory Theater (A.R.T) has announced the final roster of featured guests that will appear in ExtraOrdinary, a celebration of musical theater at the A.R.T. directed by Paulus.

Tonight, November 2, 2018, Broadway's THE BOOK OF MORMON will play its 3,183rd performance, at which point it will become the longest running production in the history of the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. The previous record holder was the original production of Tobacco Road, which spent most of its 3,182-performance run at the Forrest Theatre (now the O'Neill).

Everyday Inferno Theatre Company is thrilled to present the world premiere of QUICKSAND, adapted from Nella Larsen's novel by Regina Robbins and directed by Anais Koivisto. This December, New Conservatory Theatre Center continues its not-so-traditional tradition of its award-winning production of Avenue Q. Featuring "catchy melodies sung by randy puppets suffering post-collegiate existential dread" (SF Chronicle), NCTC's Avenue Q has been proclaimed a "local tradition" by San Francisco Travel, winning over critics and audiences alike in its previous engagements in NCTC's intimate Decker Theatre. Declares the San Francisco Examiner, "only the Grinch could prevent the laughter-filled show from selling out night after night."

A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS, the holiday musical revue from the creative team behind the hit musicals Mighty Real: A Fabulous Sylvester Musical and An Evening With Phyllis Hyman will return to New York City this December for one weekend only, performing Saturday, December 15th at 8:00 pm and Sunday December 16th at 2:00 pm at The Actor's Temple Theatre (339 West 47th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

NETworks Presentations, LLC, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Unique Features, bring the Broadway musical ELF to the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans. Tickets will go on sale Friday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. for the Dec. 18-23, 2018 engagement.
