Hadestown, the winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best New Musical and the 2020 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will come to Playhouse Square from January 31 – February 19, 2023 as part of the 2022-23 KeyBank Broadway Series.

Fresh off the heels of the release of their new EP and sold-out Thanksgiving weekend performance at St. Andrews Hall, the Detroit, Michigan natives are set to unleash in North America on January 24 at Madison Live in Cincinnati, OH, with stops in major markets including Washington D.C., New York, Toronto, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

BAM will gather audiences and communities together for a thrilling range of performances in its winter-spring 2023 season.

The track showcases Curtis' abilities and range as a producer, having also worked with rapper TiaCorine, who opened for Curtis at his first sold-out show in Los Angeles. A Nepali immigrant raised in Calgary and now living in Los Angeles, Curtis’ ties to locations around the world are reflected in his dynamic sound and profound lyricism.

Nuovo Testamento, has taken over dance floors with their uniquely dark Italo disco-flavored pop hits in just a few years. Produced by sound engineer Maurizio Baggio (Boy Harsher, The Soft Moon) with vocal recording by Riki, Love Lines is reminiscent of the work of Shep Pettibone, Chris Barbosa and serves as a reminder of the power of pop music.

Lightning Rod Special will present a return engagement of their critically acclaimed musical The Appointment, lead written by Alice Yorke (SPEECH), Eva Steinmetz (SIGN FELT!), Scott R. Sheppard (Underground Railroad Game), and Alex Bechtel (The Light Princess).

Upcoming stops include Mobile’s Mobile Civic Center (two nights), Tampa’s Yuengling Center, St. Augustine’s St. Augustine Amphitheatre (three nights), Phoenix’s Arizona Financial Theatre, Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, Austin’s Moody Center (two nights), Tulsa’s BOK Center, St. Louis’ Chaifetz Arena and Chicago’s Huntington Bank Pavilion.

2022 has seen Blondshell (Sabrina Teitelbaum) capture the ears and attention of music critics and fans alike with the release of four singles and her incredibly captivating shows in Los Angeles, London and across the U.S. as the support for Porridge Radio. She will be closing out the year with a sold-out headline show.

Casting has been announced for Travis Alabanza's first play for the Royal Court Theatre, Sound of the Underground. Spotlighting London's iconic underground club culture and questioning what it means to get your money's worth when it comes to art, Sound of the Underground will bring together legends of the London Queer club scene from Thursday 19 January - Saturday 25 February 2023 in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs.

Unlike Ghosts of both Past, and Present, patrons of the Straz Center are plunged head-first into a dark tale based on figures found in Greek Mythology, and the tale itself seems all too relevant and perfectly placed in our current climate. The Broadway Smash Hadestown takes the stage by storm and leaves no prisoners in its wake. I for one am thankful for this time, the time to sit in a sacred space and experience the undeniably beautiful event that is live theatre, and the Straz Center is the Gift that keeps on giving, not only during the holiday season but all year long. Their 2022/2023 Bank of America Broadway Season is one of the absolute best yet!

Theatre for a New Audience has announced new preview, press, and opening dates for Denis Johnson’s Des Moines. Due to the detection of Covid within the Des Moines company, performances November 29 – December 3 have been canceled, with the production now beginning December 4.

The creative team adapting F. Scott Fitzgerald’s landmark novel The Great Gatsby into a Broadway-bound stage musical has been announced. It will feature music & lyrics by Tony Award nominees Nathan Tysen & Jason Howland, and a book by Jonathan Larson Grant winner Kait Kerrigan, helmed by award-winning director Marc Bruni.

The UK and Ireland Tour of Disney's The Lion King will welcome 12 new members to its cast of over 50 actors, singers and dancers this winter. The award winning landmark musical is currently playing a season at Manchester Palace until 11 March, where over 300,000 people will experience the show during the only North West dates.

The Red Rocks dates add to Strings’ extensive 2023 headline tour, which includes 15 arena shows with stops at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena (2 nights, both sold out), Atlantic City’s Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena (3 nights), Charlottesville’s John Paul Jones Arena (2 nights), Atlanta’s State Farm Arena and Charleston’s North Charleston Coliseum.

Launching its 46th Milestone Season, Pan Asian Repertory Theatre has announced as a tribute to the Chinese architect Maya Lin with deep respect for her courage and creativity, the titanic role of 'Maya' will be played by two actors - Angel Lin and Nancy Ma - in alternation for the world premiere of Memorial by Livian Yah.

Fresh off the release of “Happy Ending,” Kelela returns to debut her newest single, “On The Run”. The track is produced by Yo van Lenz, Kelela, Kaytranada and Bambii, with additional production by Asmara. “On The Run” is a Caribbean-influenced and flirts with the push and pull dynamics of love.
