Bobby Garcia, the celebrated theater director and producer whose works enriched stages across Asia and Canada, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, in Vancouver, Canada. He was 55 years old.

Twenty-five films have been selected for the Library of Congress National Film Registry in 2024 due to their cultural, historic or aesthetic importance to preserve the nation’s film heritage, Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden has announced.

Cindy Fee—the voice of The Golden Girls theme song, “Thank You for Being a Friend”—will perform at the opening weekend of The Golden Girls Live: The Christmas Episodes at BroadwaySF's Curran Theatre. Patrons attending performances on December 6, 7, and 8 will get the opportunity to see Fee perform the iconic theme song live from the Curran Theatre stage.

Performers appearing at Birdland Jazz Club include Django Reinhardt NY Festival All-Stars with special guests Bruce Harris, Helio Alves, Tatiana Eva-Marie, Ute Lemper and Lucy Yeghiazaryan, The Hot Sardines and Rachel Therrien: Latin Jazz Project.

New Elphaba and Glinda vinyl variants have been added to the lineup for the official Wicked soundtrack, which is set for release on November 22. The soundtrack will come in a green (Elphaba) and a pink (Glinda) edition, each featuring an image of the character on the cover.
