TCM Classic Film Festival to Open with WHEN HARRY MET SALLY Reunion

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will kick off the 10th annual TCM Classic Film Festival on Thursday, April 11th with a 30th anniversary screening of the seminal romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally... with beloved stars Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan and acclaimed director/producer Rob Reiner in attendance. The 2019 TCM Classic Film Festival, held in the heart of Hollywood April 11th-14th, marks the 10th annual celebration of classic films on the big screen from TCM. Gabriel Communications Announces New 'Country's Family Reunion' Series

In 1935, Country music's “first family recording group,” The Carter Family, released “Can the Circle Be Unbroken.” The song (a hymn reworked lyrically by the group's patriarch, A.P. Carter) would become one of the genre's early commercial hits. Later, it would become symbolic of the “family of Country music,” in recognition of its roots and the artists who would carry those traditions forward for future generations. In celebration of this idea, Gabriel Communications is pleased to announce its latest 'Reunion' series and DVD collection, “Country's Family Reunion Presents: Country's Unbroken Circle,” which affirms that, even today, traditional country music is alive and well and the “circle” remains enjoyably intact.  (more...)

The Country Music Association to Honor Louis Messina with CMA Touring Lifetime Achievement Award

The Country Music Association will honor the Messina Touring Group's CEO Louis Messina with this year's CMA Touring Lifetime Achievement Award. Messina received the news personally from Country legend George Strait, who made a surprise phone call last Friday morning. Final voting for the CMA Touring Awards, which highlight vital behind-the-scenes members of the touring industry, closes Thursday, Dec. 13. The CMA Touring Awards will take place Monday, Jan. 28 at Nashville's Marathon Music Works. Jerrod Niemann will return to host the ceremony. (more...)

Vocalist Aj Lambert To Release Careful You On January 21

Today AJ Lambert, granddaughter of Frank Sinatra and daughter of Nancy Sinatra, announces a release date of January 21 for her her first full length solo album, Careful You. Careful You is an album of unique, poignant interpretations of songs by artists including Spoon, TV on the Radio and John Cale, as well as some of her grandfather's deep cuts such as “Sleep Warm” and “I'll Be Seeing You.” The album was recorded with a full band and produced by Daniel Schlett (The War on Drugs, Amen Dunes) and Boshra AlSaadi (TEEN, Janka Nabay). AJ will tour in support of the release, with a full band featuring musicians from the album, such as drummer Parker Kindred (who also plays with Joan As Policewoman) and bassist Josh Werner (who recently collaborated on a release with Bill Laswell). Sofia Bolt is the musical alias of Parisian Amélie Rousseaux, whose songs have been described by Rolling Stone France as 'recalling the energy and surprise of musicians like PJ Harvey and Cat Power.' In 2017, Rousseaux relocated to Los Angeles, where she began working with a wide cast of collaborators including legendary songwriter Van Dyke Parks, Grammy-nominated producer Itai Shapira, Emily Elhaj (bassist of Angel Olsen's band), and La Luz drummer Marian Li Pino, recording the songs that would make up her American debut album Waves.
