Karen Hauer and Nadiya Bychkova Will Join Nikita Kuzmin on SUPERNOVA Tour
Choreographer Jason Gilkison helms the STRICTLY-rooted dance spectacular across select UK venues
Strictly favourites Karen Hauer and Nadiya Bychkova will join Nikita Kuzmin: Supernova presented by Burn the Floor, touring the UK this summer, with more names to be announced.
Following their show stopping partnerships on Strictly, Nikita will take centre stage alongside friends, colleagues and dancers from past and present in the high-octane new dance spectacular.
Legendary choreographer Jason Gilkison comments, “I'm beyond excited to have two of my favourite dancing superstars joining Nikita on stage for what will be a very special reunion.”
Stepping out of the ballroom to kick things off, Strictly legend Karen Hauer returns to the stage following news of her departure, giving fans the chance to see the award-winning pro in action from 9 to 21 June and 7 to 12 July. The longest serving female professional on the show, she has delivered iconic partnerships including Jamie Laing and Mark Wright. A former World Mambo Champion and Professional American Rhythm Rising Star Champion, Karen brings serious firepower to Nikita Kuzmin: Supernova presented by Burn the Floor.
Closing the tour alongside Nikita is Nadiya Bychkova from 21 to 25 July. A long time Strictly favourite, she is a two-time World and European Champion in Ballroom and Latin 10 Dance. Since joining Strictly in 2017, she has made a lasting impression with both judges and audiences and remains a familiar face within the professional dance circuit.
Other exciting names are yet to be announced.
Created by world-renowned choreographer and BAFTA award-recipient Jason Gilkison, Nikita Kuzmin: Supernova promises to be its most daring and dynamic with an electrifying fusion of movement and music. Audiences will be swept away with a synthesis of ballroom, Latin and contemporary styles, brought to life with Nikita's signature charm, power and charisma.
Nikita Kuzmin: Supernova breathes new life into traditional dances such as the Viennese Waltz and Foxtrot along with the fiery passion of the Tango and Paso Doble all while celebrating the sheer energy of the Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba and Jive. With jaw-dropping choreography, heart-pounding music and breath-taking moves, this dance extravaganza blazes with energy, intensity and unrelenting spectacle.
The global sensation Burn The Floor brings the ultimate high-voltage theatrical dance experience. Along with guest stars the show will feature the company's trademark cast of multi-disciplined dancers from across the globe, with sensational live vocalists. It will be an unmissable journey of passion, rhythm and sheer artistry.
Burn the Floor is the world's leading ballroom-based dance company, thrilling audiences since 1999 with its cutting-edge productions. Recognised worldwide for re-inventing the ballroom art form, the company combines world-class dancers, live music and show-stopping choreography to deliver high-energy, unforgettable performances. Reflecting on the company's latest creation, producer Harley Medcalf says: “The opportunity to work with the exceptional talents of Nikita and Jason and create a ground-breaking new show is the producer's dream.”
