Even though Shayne Cook's latest single, 'Matters Of the Heart' has already reached #3 on the iTunes chart in South Africa, it wasn't initially one of Cook's favorite compositions. In fact, the Melbourne-based singer-songwriter considered the track to be a throw-away demo. It wasn't until producer Simon Moro brought it to life including highlights from City of Prague Symphony Orchestra to add strings to the production, that the song was given the green light for the artist's forthcoming debut album, 'Epiphonetics' (out October 23rd.)

Totally rad! In the middle of the 1980's three Angels (Lukas Baeskow, Heather N. Cate, and Gina Morgigno) are sent to earth to help struggling teenagers. As they disguise themselves as high schoolers, so does their arch nemesis, Lewy (otherwise known as Lucifer; played by Justin Tepper) to obstruct their mission any way he can. Combining the fun of 'Grease', the adolescence of 'High School Musical' and the performance ambition of 'A Chorus Line', HiTops delivers an energetic blast to the past while dealing with some weighty matters of the heart. Oh! And did we mention the love story? Yeah, it's totally awesome.

If you love Steel Magnolias as much as I do, you always wait with bated breath to see if the actresses in the production can pull off the believability of long-term bonds of friendship. At the opening night of director Aaron Washington's production at Carrollwood Players Theatre, as soon as the cast of six was on stage together, it was easy to see the real, comfortable rapport.

Topher Payne's witty, smart, and sharply fine-tuned work Morningside gives an ingenious glimpse into the lives of eight women some friends, but mostly family. Grounded deep in Southern Pride, heartfelt lessons, and the idea that above all family is what matters most proves to be the heart of this side-splitting a?oemother of all baby showers.a?? In 2015 Topher Payne was interviewed for Backstage Magazine where he described his writing style by saying, a?oeIf you can make someone laugh, they listen. And they lean in and they want to hear more. And once you have that level of engagement, then you can start layering in a message that you want them to take away. You can do that in film. You can do that in a book. But the act of being in the same room with the storyteller is just fundamentally different. It lands differently.a?? The cast, crew and entire company making up the ensemble of Morningside should be exceptionally proud of the work that was shown onstage; for the a?oeMother of all Baby Showers,a?? turned out to be one of the finest displays of ensemble acting to come from one company of outstanding actresses. Everyone in the audience and the Tampa theatre community respectively didn't quite know but over the course of two-hours found this to not be the show they wanted but to be the show they needed.

Home Body will release their new album Spiritus on April 26 via via Feeding Tube Records and Peace & Rhythm (pre-order). The official video for the 'DNA, the first single from the forthcoming release premiered at Audiofemme along with an exclusive interview with the band. About the video Audiofemme says, 'Home Body's new music video for 'DNA' explores so-called traditional values and gender bias through the lens of the stereotypical heteronormative relationship. The backbeat feels like a date night groove, with Haley Morgan's voice treading softly overhead. Morgan and Eric Hnatow have been making music together in and around Western Massachusetts for over 13 years, and the cohesion is easy to hear; 'DNA' doesn't take a while to wind up, it moves confidently, with the maturity of shared experience.'
