Today, 30 July 2018, on the eve of Harry Potter's birthday, the anniversary of the world premiere and the start of the third year for the London Production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre, the Producers announce further tickets to be released for sale on 18 September 2018, at 11 GMT, for performances from 10 April - 28 July 2019. Tickets are priced from £15 per part and for every performance there are over 300 tickets at £20 or less per part.

According to Variety, a new BBC series titled HIS DARK MATERIALS will feature an all-star cast consisting of Lin-Manuel Miranda, James McAvoy, and Ruth Wilson. The series is based on fantasy novels written by Philip Pullman.

The Donmar announces full casting for Artistic Director Josie Rourke's production of Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare. Joining the previously announced Hayley Atwell and Jack Lowden are Ben Allen, Matt Bardock, Nicholas Burns, Jackie Clune, Rachel Denning, Molly Harris, Adam McNamara, Raad Rawi, Sule Rimi, Anwar Russell and Helena Wilson.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will celebrate its German premiere at the Mehr! Theater am Großmarkt in Hamburg in the spring of 2020. The announcement was made today by the show's producers Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender, Harry Potter Theatrical Productions and the German producer Maik Klokow. In preparation for this extraordinary theatre event, the venue will undergo an extensive redesign starting in May 2019. 

It was announced today that the next US production of the Tony & Olivier Award-winning Best Play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will begin in the fall of 2019 at the Curran in San Francisco, California.

The Tony and Olivier Award-winning Best Play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has set a new Broadway record for weekly ticket sales for a play, reporting a gross of $2,277,446 for the week ending June 17, 2018. This passes the high mark set by the two-part play in previews the week ending April 8, 2018 ($2,138,859) and the previous top grossing play, All The Way, which peaked at $1,623,495 in 2014.

The new West End cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child began performances at the Palace Theatre in London's West End on 23 May 2018. Jamie Ballard plays Harry Potter, Susie Trayling plays Ginny Potter and Joe-Idris Roberts plays their son Albus Potter. Thomas Aldridge plays Ron Weasley with Nicola Alexis as Hermione Granger and Helen Aluko as their daughter Rose Granger Weasley. Playing Draco Malfoy is James Howard with Jonathan Case as his son Scorpius Malfoy.

The 72nd Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 10th at 8/9c hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles. Today (16 April 2018), rehearsals begin for the West End production of Nina Raine's Consent which will begin previews at the Harold Pinter Theatre on 18 May with its opening night on 29 May 2018. The New-York Historical Society announced today that tickets for Harry Potter: A History of Magic, a British Library exhibition, will go on sale to the general public on April 26. The exhibition-the most successful showcase of all time at the British Library in London-will be on view at New-York Historical October 5, 2018-January 27, 2019.
