Brown and Anthony Hollis Productions have announced the tour of a new one-man play THE SHY MANIFESTO, written by Michael Ross, directed by Cat Robey and starring Theo Ancient (Albus Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child). THE SHY MANIFESTO will open at Live Theatre, Newcastle on 29 January 2019, before touring nationally.

The Metropolitan Opera's new production of La Traviata, opening December 4, will be the first opera conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin as the Met's Jeanette Lerman-Neubauer Music Director. Soprano Diana Damrau, who made her acclaimed role debut as Violetta at the Met during the 2012–2013 season (with Maestro Nézet-Séguin on the podium), returns as the tragic heroine.

BroadwayCon announces that the Tony Award-winning Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has joined the BroadwayCon 2019 MainStage lineup. The panel will feature cast members from the hit show. Additional details will be announced at a later date. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child joins Mean Girls, Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song, Be More Chill, Come From Away, The Prom, and Pretty Woman as part of MainStage programming.

Excitement has enveloped the internationally acclaimed stage production, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, since its London opening in July 2016. The show is now playing on Broadway and will soon have productions opening in Melbourne, San Francisco and Hamburg - the latter marking its first non-English production. Last month, it was announced that an album would be released showcasing the music of the show, created by the multi-award-winning British musician, composer and producer Imogen Heap, who has already earned a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music in a Play for her work on Cursed Child.

People's Light kicks off its 2018/2019 Season with Such Things as Vampires, a highly theatrical folk-punk twist on the Dracula tale. Infused with lilting ballads, rock anthems, and melodious love songs, this concert-theatre event is an irreverent, bloody, and wickedly fun retelling of Bram Stoker's 1897 gothic masterpiece. Such Things as Vampires runs September 20 - October 31 on the Steinbright Stage in Malvern. Tickets range from $30-$50.
