A collection of talented musicians will entertain with a variety of genres ranging from folk-rock to fiddle tunes to country and more. Patrons are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for use on the grass.

Broadway might be dark, but that doesn't mean that theatre isn't happening everywhere! Below, check out where you can get your daily fix of Broadway this weekend, February 20-21, 2020.

While many may consider musical theatre to be rather niche (and it is compared to a lot of other mainstream entertainment, don’t get me wrong), it might surprise them just how popular many of the more mainstream musicals are.

Tony winner Helen Mirren will star alongside Uzo Aduba ('Godspell' on Broadway), Academy Award-winners Morgan Freeman and Anne Hathaway, Anthony Mackie, Constance Wu, Nicole Beharie, and Constance Wu in 'Solos,' a new series set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

Actor Bruce Sabath (Company, Cagney,  Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish) celebrated the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris by producing an uplifting music video of the song 'Beautiful City' from the Stephen Schwartz musical Godspell.  The video features Sabath in locations around New York. Also featured are photographs of New York City, submitted by Sabath's colleagues and fans, who responded to a mention of the project on social media.

This year, to save us from tears, Broadway favorites Lea Salonga and Telly Leung have joined forces to deliver a special Christmas treat. Watch as they perform a virtual duet of Wham!'s Christmas classic, 'Last Christmas.'

MUSKET, the University of Michigan's only student-run musical theatre company, has released the full lineup for this week's 'The Alumni Concert,' airing September 25th. The performers and speakers include many of MUSKET's notable alumni, as well as supporters of the organization.

A Christmas Carol is now in previews on Broadway! The holiday masterpiece, A Christmas Carol, comes to Broadway this holiday season for eight weeks only following critically acclaimed runs at London's Old Vic. Two visionary talents, playwright Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and director Matthew Warchus (Matilda), offer a magical new interpretation of Charles Dickens' classic story, starring Campbell Scott ('House of Cards,' Dying Young) as Ebenezer Scrooge. Beginning previews on Thursday, November 7 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street), with the opening night set for Wednesday, November 20, A Christmas Carol will play a strictly limited engagement through Sunday, January 5, 2020 only.

WICKED, the West End and Broadway musical sensation that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, last night (Wednesday 9 October 2019) welcomed its 10 millionth visitor at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre. Geeta Ozdural from London, together with her cousin Lopa Shah from New Jersey (who were seeing each other for the first time in ten years), celebrated with the cast after the performance.

WaterTower Theatre will round out its 2019-2020 season with a special limited-engagement, concert-style production of the inspiring 1960s musical Golden Boy. Adapted from the 1930s drama by Clifford Odets, and featuring a book by Odets and William Gibson, Golden Boy tells the story of Joe Wellington, a young black man trying to rise from the Harlem ghetto as a prizefighter. Wellington, originated on Broadway in 1964 by the iconic Sammy Davis, Jr., is enticed by the boxing world's promise of fame and fortune, but he makes one critical mistake: falling for his manager's white girlfriend, Lorna.

Skene is a musical theatre school for youngsters and teenagers. Its founders are Marco Bjurstrom and Sinikka Sokka: in 2006 they realised there's hardly any chances for youth to study and do musical theatre. Now there is and this year's show The Addams Family was directed by Jermo Grudstrom, whom I got to interview after the premiere 15.5. He's also continuing next year as a director and acting coach in the group. With us sat also Anna Paivaniemi, who is a student but also works as a dance captain in the group.

BroadwayWorld has learned today the complete cast, design and production team for Guys and Dolls, the first show of its second century, June 10 - 16.

DreamWorks Theatricals (a division of Universal Theatrical Group), Michael McCabe and Neil Laidlaw have announced that THE PRINCE OF EGYPT, the new stage musical based on the celebrated DreamWorks Animation film and featuring the Academy Award®-winning song When You Believe, will begin performances at London's Dominion Theatre on Wednesday 5 February 2020, with an official London premiere on Tuesday 25 February 2020, for a limited 32-week engagement.
