Today Broadway celebrates the 95th birthday of John Kander, the Tony-Award winning composer of Chicago. To pay tribute to the legendary composer, the cast and crew of Chicago, with surprise guest Lin-Manuel Miranda, released a special performance of “New York, New York,” Kander & Ebb’s song that became the official anthem of New York City.

The name on everybody's lips is gonna be Pamela! The Broadway company of the Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago will welcome actress and activist Pamela Anderson making her Broadway debut in the role of Roxie Hart beginning Tuesday, April 12, 2022. She will play an 8-week limited engagement at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St., NYC) through Sunday, June 5, 2022.

The Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago is now playing at New York’s Ambassador Theatre.

Earlier today, award-winning actress and singer, Bianca Marroquín was named Mr. Amigo 2022 at the official announcement and poster unveiling ceremony hosted by the Mexican Consulate, Texas Southmost College and City of Brownsville.

James Monroe Iglehart is set to take over the role of Billy Flynn in the Broadway production of Chicago! He will take over the role on January 17, replacing Tom Hewitt, who has played the role since November 2021.

Tony Nominee Charlotte d'Amboise returns to Chicago as Roxie Hart beginning tonight, Monday, January 10, 2022 and Bianca Marroquín has extended in her role as Velma Kelly through March 13, 2022 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.; New York, NY).

CHICAGO did not perform this past Saturday night after employees at the Ambassador Theatre tested positive for the COVID virus.  Out of an abundance of caution, there will be no Monday or Tuesday performance (The show does not play on Wednesdays).

Per the production, 'because two people who work at the Ambassador Theatre tested positive for the COVID 19 virus today (Saturday, November 26th), the 8PM performance of CHICAGO will not proceed, out of an abundance of caution...'

Chicago will celebrate 25 years on Broadway tomorrow Tuesday, November 16th at 6:30PM with a very special performance. Beginning at 5PM on the TKTS Red Steps in Times Square the Brooklyn United Marching Band will march to 49th Street playing Kander & Ebb music. The Ambassador Theatre will be lit in red with a star-studded red carpet. 

A special performance of Chicago will be held on Tuesday, November 16th at 6:30PM with appearances by original cast members and other surprises at the Ambassador Theatre to mark the 25th Anniversary of the longest running American musical in Broadway history.

Broadway audience are back at the Ambassador Theatre, where Chicago has officially resumed performances last month. Just last week, the show welcomed a very special guest, the 57th Governor of New York, Kathy Hochul.

Chicago resumed performances on Broadway on September 14 with a new cast and we have your first look at the company in action, including Ana Villafañe as Roxie Hart, Bianca Marroquín as Velma Kelly, Tony Award-winner Paulo Szot as Billy Flynn, and Tony Award-winner Lillias White as Matron “Mama” Morton.

A new Roxie Hart struts the stage at Chicago this time around- Ana Villafañe, who is returning to Broadway for the first time since her breakout portrayal of Gloria Estefan in On Your Feet.

The Tony Award-winning Chicago joins with the Broadway League to announce a ¡Viva Broadway! Night celebrating Hispanic and Latino theatre makers and audiences on Monday, October 18 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St., NYC).

Everything came up roses tonight at the reopening of Chicago on Broadway as the company tossed handfuls of rose petals to celebrate their first curtain call back at the Ambassador! 

At tonight's reopening of Broadway's Chicago, the show's director Walter Bobbie paid tribute to the production's legendary choreographer and original star, Ann Reinking, who passed away in December 2020.
