Idina Menzel has announced a few new tour dates with local symphonies starting this month through May of 2027. All of the concert dates and ticket information can be found on Idina's website.Tickets are currently on sale for all performances, with the exception of the two performances in Costa Mesa and the one performance in Kohler. 

Oil Lamp Theater announced its future home will be at the former Ten Ninety Brewing Co. at 1025 Waukegan Road in Downtown Glenview, part of its $5 million 'Light the Way' fundraising campaign.

Today’s subject Ryan Stajmiger is currently living his theatre life on tour playing the title character in Beetlejuice. The tour is currently playing here in DC at the National Theatre through July 19th. It should also be noted Beetlejuice had its World Premiere Pre-Broadway Engagement at the National Theatre in 2018, so this current engagement is indeed a homecoming.

Short Story Theatre will present an evening of five true stories covering topics from a WWII love story to a visit to Auschwitz at The Art Center Highland Park. Tickets are $15 in advance.

This season, 46th Street will join these special ranks when the new musical Warriors moves into the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Warriors, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis, moves in across the street from Hamilton in its long-time home at the Richard Rodgers. Hamilton, with book, music, and lyrics by Miranda, already has a history of inspiring block party vibes on 46th Street with Ham4Ham, their in-person lottery turned pop-up concert event. Will there be a crossover lottery event for both shows? Perhaps Warriors will be the Lunt-Fontanne show to finally reopen the theater’s long-dormant retractable rooftop and wave to their neighbors? 

Yvonne Strahovski, David Corenswet & François Arnaud will star in Three Days of Rain on Broadway in February 2027, directed by Anna D. Shapiro.

PrideArts has announced its 2026-27 season of six productions of plays and special showcases, to be performed in the company’s resident space – the Hoover Leppen Theatre in Center on Halsted. In a change from previous seasons, all evening performances will have a curtain time of 7:00 pm. 

Open Space Arts announced an extended run of SMILEY, the queer romantic comedy by Spanish playwright Guillem Clua, following enthusiastic reviews. The North American English-language premiere continues at the company's 25-seat Chicago theatre.

KINKY BOOTS is now playing at Broadway In Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre for a limited engagement. Leading the tour will be Omari Collins “Scarlett D. Von'Du” as Lola, Noah Silverman as Charlie Price, and more.
