This new play concerns the documentary filmmaker, Nelson Sullivan, from his boyhood in South Carolina to his final days in New York. It endeavors to combine the unique worlds of Andy Warhol and the work of his admirer, Nelson Sullivan, in two separate and distinct movements from the underground scene of late 2Oth Century New York. In this retelling of Mr. Sullivan’s story by a fellow filmmaker and friend, it explores Nelson’s relentless quest to uncover exciting, new talent among the nightclubs of lower Manhattan, set to music that expresses the exuberance and turbulence of his era.
