Pasadena Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Danny Feldman announced the latest news for the theater’s upcoming six-month-long celebration of the works and impact of Stephen Sondheim January 26 through June 11, 2023. 

Producers Sonia Friedman and Tom Kirdahy have announced that the brand new Kander & Ebb musical, NEW YORK, NEW YORK, will begin performances on Broadway Friday, March 24, 2023 and officially open Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Broadway’s St. James Theatre.

An Iowa holiday staple is set to return later this year, following a pandemic-related hiatus since 2019, with a statewide concert series, “Christmas with Jim McDonough and His Orchestra: The 20th Anniversary Tour.”

Her portrayal of “Gerri Kellman,” Waystar Royco’s General Counsel, garnered J. a Critics Choice Award nomination and has quickly become a fan favorite in the Emmy® Award-winning series. 

Ars Nova and PlayCo will present the world premiere of HOUND DOG by 2019 Ars Nova resident artist Melis Aker. Directed by Machel Ross with music by Aker and the Lazours, this cross-cultural jam-session-meets-play explores the winding path towards forgiveness and belonging.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts has announced its fall/winter programming, reflective of its artistic vision, featuring a mix of collaborations with constituents across Lincoln Center and a focus on genres historically underrepresented on campus.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Today's episode features Broadway favorite Andréa Burns. 'My very first professional job was playing 'Maria' in West Side Story on a European tour. I left school to do it. It kinda became my college education. Instead of going to school I was at West Side U,' Burns explained in the episode. 'Some many things happened... I got my Equity card, I met my future husband (who played Tony), and now we have a son who is half-Jet half-Shark! [The show] is incredibly meaningful to me.'
