The Boston Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Andris Nelsons will present a 2021-22 Symphony Hall season, September 30-April 30, that will first and foremost celebrate reuniting with their music community post-pandemic, while also continuing the orchestra’s commitment to welcoming new audiences.

Dan Partridge will be reprising the role of Danny in Grease, having played the role on the UK and Ireland tour in 2019. Georgia Louise will play Sandy, with Paul French as Kenickie and Tendai Rinomhota as Rizzo. The Playhouse announced a summer Tent Theatre series tonight, Apr. 9, 2021, before the opening of Some Enchanted Evening. Three shows – Godspell, Plaza Suite, and Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical – will be performed in an event pavilion in the theatre's east parking lot in July and August 2021.

The musical was due to tour in 2020 but had to be postponed due to COVID-19.  Directed by Nikolai Foster and choreographed by Arlene Phillips, the 2021 tour will now begin at Curve, Leicester from 30 – 31 July.

Auditions for the musical revue Some Enchanted Evening will be held virtually with an audition video submission deadline of 6:00 PM, Monday, Feb. 15, 2021. All auditions are open to the public; no one is pre-cast. Callbacks will be in person at the theatre by appointment only, Feb. 16-17, 2021.
