BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that stage and screen actress Betty McGuire has died at age 100. McGuire appeared in three Broadway productions, including the original productions of Plain and Fancy, Happy Hunting and Oh, Captain!

Caseen Gaines, author of When Broadway Was Black, will release IF EVER A WIZ THERE WAS: The Battle for the Soul of Oz on February 23, 2027. The book draws on exclusive interviews with original designers, actors, and creatives behind the iconic 1975 Broadway musical and its 1978 film adaptation.
